The short term and fixed income portfolios include money market funds, local government investment pools (LGIPS) to customized separately managed account solutions. Our team works with operating funds, bond proceeds, insurance and capital reserves, and other funds to structure portfolios to meet client objectives.This position is a member of the Meeder Public Funds Credit team and a member of the Credit Committee, working closely with others in a dynamic and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the fundamental credit analysis of fixed income issuers as well as the analysis of the macroeconomic environment.Primary Responsibilities:Fundamental credit analysis of approved and proposed corporate issuers through due diligence.Sector and issuer research, developing and conducting proprietary analysis, preparing written recommendations and presenting before credit committee.Prepare written reports for new initiations and ongoing credit assessments.Interaction with the portfolio managers and credit team to determine appropriate investment counterparties, concentration limits, and evaluate internal risk policies.Manage credit exposure reporting process, across corporate issuers and trading counterparts.Ad hoc projects may be required on occasion.Critical Success Factors:Fiduciary and client-oriented mindset.Ability to analyze large amounts of data and distill findings.Strong intellectual curiosity, initiative, and time management skills.High level of integrity and strong ethical standards.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with other team members toward a common goal.Strong teamwork skills required.High-level of initiative.Accuracy and attention to detail.Skills Required:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field, required.2-3 years of experience in investment analysis or completion of CFA level 1.Proficiency in Bloomberg, Morning Star and other research/data compilation tools preferred.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Strong presentation skills to a diversified audience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
