A Day in the LifeThe Credit Executive II, under the direction of the Sr Credit Manager, will be the lead internal specialist for Lendistry's new climate, clean-energy, infrastructure, and sustainability lending initiative Lendistry Green.Dedicated to supporting the initiation of the new division at Lendistry, the Credit Executive II will work closely with the Sr Credit Manager responsible for Strategic Initiatives and the VP Relationship Manager for Lendistry Green to build and sustain this new division. The Credit Executive II will review credit applications, analyze relevant credit information, and structure requests to obtain final loan approval. Credit Executive II is also responsible for preparing memorandums and credit analysis through the loan approval process with timely and accurate due diligence.The Credit Executive II is also responsible for coaching and mentoring other Credit Underwriters new to climate and clean-energy lending. Some travel may be required. Join us as we pave the way with innovative financing and financial education!What You'll Be Doing •Work as a core part of the Lendistry Green Initiative, which is working to bring Lendistry financial products to the climate, clean-energy, infrastructure, and sustainability space. •Work closely with the Sr Credit Manager responsible for Strategic Initiatives and the VP Relationship Manager for Lendistry Green to set up the credit guidance and processes that are unique to the newly established climate and clean-energy line of business. •Maintain a good understanding of the portfolio of borrower types, referral relationships and frequently used lending products being generated by the Sales team to anticipate updates and enhancements to the existing Lendistry credit process necessary to support this new borrower type. •Review initial loan application packages from Sales to determine eligibility and additional required documentation.•Structure loan package to fit within minimum requirements of products available.•Have knowledge of Business and Personal Tax Returns, Interim Financials, Bank Statements, etc.•Decision loan files (decline, suspend, or submit for approval).•Run all background checks for businesses and merchants.•Review 3rd party reports (Credit report, Business Experian, CAIVRS, etc.).•Set up calls and discuss files with clients (initial interviews).•Review completed files for underwriting. Ensure all required information is received prior to underwriting.•Underwrite the transaction and prepare packages for third-party approval.•Internally develop credit and underwriting guidance.•Lead the referral network of incoming borrowers within the Lendistry Green Initiative.•Develop and roll out training programs for colleagues (or new team members) as lending volume increases.•Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective operation of the department and help make Lendistry the best place to work!Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise •Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience and in-depth understanding of Commercial C&I and real estate financing, and closing, procedures. •Experience with the climate and clean energy or relevant industry. •Minimum bachelor's degree. Finance, accounting, or Business Administration focus is preferred.•Ability to manage and underwrite complex transactions with limited guidance.•Strong knowledge of financial services.•Outstanding communication and relationship management skills.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.•Advanced computer proficiency. •Ability to travel, work flexible schedules, and cover various locations, if requested. •Bilingual English Spanish preferred. •Attain customer satisfaction. •Ability to structure and analyze complex commercial credit transactions.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.•Sophisticated word processing and computer database skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.•Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and banking operations and regulations.•Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels, ability to work independently and as part of a team.•Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.•Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines, including extended work hours.•Exhibit a professional, business-like appearance and demeanor.
