About the job: Credit SFT Trader VP to Executive Director Responsible for managing, building and expanding the Credit SFT businesses for BSI and BBVA SA
Responsibilities: - Grow BBVA's Credit SFT client business with the existing product offering
- Develop new business by either expanding existing product capabilities or adding new products.
- The current offering includes different types of
- Collateral: US Credit, Latam Sovereign, Latam Credit
- Payoffs: fixed, floating, open
- Currencies: USD, EUR, COP, CLP, MXN, etc.
- Settlement: bilateral or triparty
- Work closely with the SFT trading and sales teams in the different geographies
- Manage Credit SFT positions and risks: liquidity, balance sheet, rates, currency, credit, etc.
- Collaborate closely with middle and back office on settlement and operational issues
- Work with Engineering, Legal, Business Processes, Risk, Middle and Back Office on designing and building SFT infrastructure in BSI or BBVA SA
- Help cover shorts and lend out long positions of the Secondary Credit Desk
- Train a junior members of the team
Requirements - In depth product knowledge of US Credit and/or Latam Sovereign and/or Latam Credit collateral
- Knowledgeable regarding interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, FX spots, FX swaps, NDFs as hedge instruments
- Experience quoting all types of repos, bond forwards, total return swaps using multiple currencies
- Proven risk manager, prudent hedging and trading strategies
- Strong communication skills and strong leadership skills
- Technical and analytical
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in the repo market
- Fluent in English, Spanish desirable
- Series 7 and 63

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $200,000 to $275,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
