We are looking for a new team member to join us working as a Crisis Services Counselor in our Crisis Services - Crisis Follow Up program. The Crisis Follow Up Program works with clients who are coming from a crisis point of care and need support/linkage to ongoing services. Our evolving and dynamic treatment approaches aim to provide our clients with intensive, short-term interventions and supports immediately after a crisis.This full-time position works Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.Other opportunities exist on other shifts - please view our website ( ) for other opportunities and feel free to apply for any position you are interested in.Can you say benefits?   • Utilizes evidence-based practices to provide outpatient psychotherapy and counseling to individuals following an episode in a crisis point of care.
  • Manages a client caseload and maintains regular contact with clients, supporting needs while working to support transition to ongoing care.
  • Provides crisis interventions as needed.
  • Provides diagnostic assessments and updates.
  • Monitors service delivery across providers including primary health, behavioral health, community health, dental and wellness recovery planning
  • Provides referrals to community resources and monitors service delivery across providers in order to promote successful whole health treatment outcomes
  • Collaborates in team meetings to support client progress
  • Collaborates with co-workers to assure necessary resource linkage to service
  • Maintains accurate and compliant documentation and clinical records
  • Develops discharge plans
  • Meets established productivity standards
  • Demonstrates independent judgment and discretion in making position related decisions
  • Participates in emergency activities as assigned
  • Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification
  • Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to client privacy laws
  • Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of other ethnic groups and cultures
  • Available to respond to clients and/or customers, either in person, Zoom, or over the phone, during assigned business hours
  • May need to be available to respond to afterhours emergency calls on a rotating basis. Schedule allows for flexibility, to include days and evenings and the ability to provide services at various locations within DuPage County, in order to meet the needs of clients.
  • May be asked to support other crisis programs depending on need.
Completion of a Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field, and two years of behavior health experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.LPC or LSW required.
