Davie Medical Center offers a variety of anesthesia services, including but not limited to: Orthopedics, Total Joints, Neuro-Spine, Hand, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, And Gastroenterology.What You'll Do:As a valued member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during Pediatric Procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists - opportunity to mentor and assess these medical students.
  • Uses medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan to ensure peri-operative and anesthesia care, being sensitive to co-morbidities and age & developmental guidelines.
  • Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care; Uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
  • Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
  • Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.
  • Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned.
  • The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.CRNA Requirements:
    • Graduation of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master's Degree or Higher Required.
    • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing + Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board
    • Current CPR Certification - ACLS, BLS
    • Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
