The CRNA will function under the medical direction of the anesthesiologist with regard to pre-anesthetic, anesthetic and post-anesthetic patient management. - As a faculty member, the CRNA will clinically educate as a preceptor for SRNAs.
SRNA Grant/Illinois Nurse Educator Loan Repayment Program:
- Rush offers all SRNAs the SRNA Grant and Service Agreement. Up to one year before starting on with Rush as an CRNA, students are eligible for a grant to help pay for the cost of their education.

Education:
- $2,000 per year for continuing medical education is available for CRNAs, as well as $1,500 every three years for maintenance of licenses and certifications in addition to one workweek off per year for seminars/professional meetings. Rush also hosts weekly grand rounds that counts for one class A CEU-free. Additionally, every day precepting an SRNA counts as a class B credit.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia for a variety of cases in both an inpatient outpatient setting.
- The CRNA will function as a faculty member and supervise SRNAs in the nurse anesthesia program.
Position Qualifications Include:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Current IL RN/APN license.
- CPR and ACLS.
