This is a continuing posting i.e., it will remain available until filled. Position Overview: To develop, promote and supervise all facets of the middle school Cross Country program. Promote a positive academic environment and encourage all athletes to strive for academic excellence. Prepare and execute practice, games plans and strategies designed to bring success to the program. Provide moral support and encouragement to students/athletes. Establish and maintain community contacts, which enhance the success of the program. Maintain and control the use of uniforms and equipment. Assist with the design and implement conditioning programs, in and out of season, for student/athletes. Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the media. Develop a communication protocol, which keeps both parents and student/athletes aware of program status. Establish and execute an awards program to recognize team and individual performance excellence. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (required) Have updated first aid and CPR training (highly desireable) Prior Athletics Coaching experience( preferred) Compensation: Stipend Position per STEA Contract Pursuant to Public Act 68 of 1993 and Public Act 83 of 1995, selected new employees shall submit to fingerprints and a criminal background check at the employee's expense.
