Crossing Guard for 2024-2025 School YearJOB STATUS: UNTIL FILLED POSTING DATE: 04/03/2024 POSTING NUMBER: 00006435 LOCATION: District Wide POSITION TITLE: Crossing Guard for 2024-2025 School YearJOB DESCRIPTION:PRIMARY PURPOSE:Ensure that each child crosses the designated crosswalk safely.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Each Guard is responsible for complying with attendance guidelines and the work hours of his/her position.Guards must be punctual in arriving at the designated time.The entire shift must be worked.Be neat in appearance.Be courteous and businesslike with children, drivers and the general public.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneEquipment Used:Hand-held stop sign, fluorescent vest, rain poncho, traffic cones and signsWORKING CONDITIONS:Physical/Mental Demands:Lifting up to 15 pounds without assistance; long periods of standing and frequent stooping and bending; ontinuous walking, working in a dry and humid environment.
