SECURITY EQUIPMENT SUPPLY CRS / LOGISTICS ASSOCIATEJOB DESCRIPTION The following is the basic job description for the CRS/Logistics Associate position current as of the date noted above. Any alterations, substitutions, or additions must be approved in writing by two of the following people: Human Resource Manager, Vice President, or Operations Manager. This position reports to the Logistics Manager (where applicable) and other members of Branch and Operations management teams. Basic Function: CRS/Logistics Associates are responsible for handling all repair / return department processes and assist with logistical duties outlined below. This position will interact directly with customers while supporting both Corporate and Vendor policies. The ability to maintain the customer relationship while supporting policies, both vendor and company and enforcing vendor warranty agreements is a key component of this position. Job Classification: Non-Exempt position Essential Functions:
  • Provide exceptional customer service always to our internal and external customer base to maintain the high SES standards for customer service.
  • Maintain a clean organized showroom and warehouse consistent with company safety and appearance standards
  • Complete training for regulatory compliance (e.g., Hazmat, forklift) as required.
  • Maintain open communication with Branch Management and Corporate Management. Keep all parties informed of outcomes, discrepancies, safety concerns and/or potential problems
  • Comply with any reasonable management request.
Customer Returns System (CRS)
  • Conduct detailed quality control of customer return products: verify condition of items returned by customers and determine appropriate action per company and vendor policies to provide the best customer service possible.
  • Work with vendor representatives to return product for repair, exchange, or credit per established guidelines.
  • Prioritize and expedites work flow
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory Control and Branch Management on stock returns / rotations to maintain Inventory Health
  • Document actions using ERP system and other tools per CRS policy / procedure
  • Prioritize tasks as directed by Logistics Manager (if applicable) or other Branch Management
Logistics - To meet and/or exceed customer expectations of our services, the following items are completed and maintained.
  • Shipping Responsibilities:
    • Pull orders (will call and ship outs). Mark will-call orders store in their proper place
    • Ensure all orders are double checked for quality control
    • Efficiently package product for shipping to reduce cost and minimize damage.
    • Entering shipping information into SES's shipping system per established guidelines
  • Receiving Responsibilities:
    • Receive product from various carriers ensuring correct quantity is received
    • Inspect products for visibly damaged.
    • Enter products in the ERP system following company guidelines.
    • Stock product in proper place in the warehouse and/or showroom following product master list to ensure proper order.
    • Rotate all products.
    • Follow policy guidelines for non-stock items.
  • Stocking Responsibilities:
    • Re-stock front showroom shelves and product displays daily, including inspecting package for appearance and cleanliness.
    • Front and face all products on shelves.
    • Re-arrange product on shelves to make room for new product or additional SKU's both in the showroom and warehouse.
    • Ensure adequate labels for product, as well as bin boxes.
    • Use SES provided showroom and warehouse master inventory list to ensure proper placement of merchandise.
  • Merchandizing and General Housekeeping Responsibilities:
    • Follow guidelines for product placement while working with Operations and Marketing to ensure consistent appearance and messaging in physical showroom
    • Assist in maintaining showroom appearance including emptying trash cans daily as well as ensuring no hazards exist
    • Maintain a cleanly swept warehouse floor that is clear of debris as well as maintaining a clean and organized shipping area

  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office/branch/warehouse environment. Must be proficient in the operation of forklifts (where applicable), pallet jacks, packaging material machines, etc. This role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, and standard software suite(s), such as the ERP system, an HCM system, and the Microsoft suite of products. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Required Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or Equivalent
    • 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
    • Knowledge of low voltage products preferred
    • Possess ability to work autonomously & collaboratively
