Salary: $43,358.00 - $52,000.00 Annually Location : City of Hopewell, VA Job Type: Regular Full-Time Job Number: CSA042823 Department: Children's Services Act (CSA) Opening Date: 04/30/2024 Closing Date: Continuous Description The purpose of this job is to ensure quality of treatment services provided to youth and families funded through Children's Services Act (CSA). This position is supervised by the CSA Manager. Examples of Duties The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary. •Conducts site-based/file utilization reviews and communicates with case managers, private providers, FAPT/CPMT required activities. •Screens FAPT referrals for required information, appropriate staffing, eligibility criteria and timeliness. •Monitors implementation of service plans and results for ongoing cases to determine suitability of services, utilizing clinical information. •Communicates with the Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) and the Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) members, service providers, case managers, and family members. •Interprets and applies state and local regulations, policies, and procedures related to the Children's Services Act. •Provides information to help case managers in selecting service providers. •Reviews the impact of utilization management policies and procedures of the CSA process, services provided and costs incurred; makes recommendations for changes. •Maintains familiarity with available resources, their strengths, weaknesses and criteria for services provision to assist case managers in making appropriate referrals. •Receives and responds to incoming calls. •Assists with agency disaster response activities. •Assists the CSA Manager of Children's Services in duties related to CPMT, and FAPT. •Performs related work as required. Typical QualificationsMinimum_ Education and Experience-Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field, supplemented by four (4) years of progressively responsible human/social services experience; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities. Physical Demands: •Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 1O pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations. Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment): •Involves routine and frequent exposure to: - Bright/dim light; Dusts and pollen. - Extreme heat and/or cold; Wet or humid conditions. Special Certifications and Licenses: •Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
