**You Will Be Responsible For:**
* Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
* Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
* Assist with postprocedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
* Contributes to new staff orientation and to students learning by serving as a preceptor when required.
* Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to scrub person activities.
* Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
* Actively participates in Performance Improvement initiatives.
* Upholds professional standards of performance and conduct.
* Any additional duties assigned in support of perioperative patient care
Qualifications
**What You Will Need:**
* Certified surgical technologist (CST)
* One-year perioperative services experience
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
**Job Summary:**
Facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.
