For over 50 years we have earned trust and confidence because of their patient care experience.Position SummaryUnder the direction of the radiologists, technical director, and imaging center managers, the service engineer performs a variety of imaging equipment services and related functions not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs services with independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to maintain imaging related equipment for multiple modalities. Assumes responsibility for designated areas as required. Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment. Coordinates vendor and third-party service. Maintains equipment documentation and service reports. Responsible for care and maintenance of assigned company vehicle.Essential Job Responsibilities* Confer with and provide input to the technical director on technical specifications for the setup of new diagnostic imaging equipment.* Assist vendors with site planning of all new diagnostic imaging equipment.* Responsible for handling and/or providing input to the technical director all technical problems within or related to the various diagnostic imaging equipment.* Oversee and coordinate equipment maintenance to ensure equipment is operating properly according to manufacturer's specifications and is providing reliable and accurate diagnostic images via contact with vendors, service contracts, preventive maintenance, and quality control. Provide immediate input to the technical director on all related issues.* Provide preventative service and service updates according to factory specifications and intervals.* Assist in coordinating vendor services.* Track all expenses required per repair call.* Maintain and compile records and reports as necessary.* Follow established policies and procedures including safety and precautions.* Adhere to all safety related issues in assigned areas of responsibility, including but not limited to, radiation, occupational exposure controls, chemical, electrical, and mechanical. Report all safety issues to immediate supervisor.* Utilize lockout tag-out procedures when applicable.* Follow correct procedures for utilizing electrostatic discharge protection when handling sensitive boards.* Assist with accreditation quality control duties and assignments.* Receive and follow directives and instruction from radiologists and technical director or assistant to properly perform the position function.* Contribute to and maintain good working rapport with all personnel and radiologists/physicians to assure that the organization's objectives can effectively meet the needs of patients and physicians.* Maintain confidentiality of all classified and sensitive information and records.* Contribute to an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis throughout the organization.* Attend and participate in vendor training courses, in-service educational classes, seminars, staff meetings, and on-the-job training programs as required.* Perform other related duties within the job classification or organization as necessary or as assigned by a radiologist or technical director.In addition to a collaborative work environment, we offer full-time employees a generous compensation package:* Competitive medical, dental and vision benefits plans* Life and long-term disability insurance* Three weeks paid time off* 401k with a generous company contribution* Six paid holidays* Imaging services for employees and immediate householdRequirementsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesEducation: Required: associate degree (two-year college or technical school)?Experience:* 4 plus years of experience in repair and maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment.* GE experence (CT equipment)* Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.Shift Varies: Monday-Saturday 7am-6pmRadiology Regional is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
