Job Description:
23-SITCT2 - Registered CT / Rad Tech, Las Vegas, NV - Full Time Direct Hire Sigma Inc is currently looking for a Registered CT / Rad Tech to work onsite in Las Vegas Summary:
  • Performs diagnostic exams on patients in the specialized areas of mammography, computed tomography, and special procedures. Uses specialized equipment, techniques and/or computer programs to perform the work.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements: Knowledge of:
  • Procedures and protocols associated with area of assignment; specialized equipment used in area of assignment; radiography protocols and procedures; quality assurance and quality control measures; personal computers; anatomy and physiology of the human body; contrast application and contrast reaction symptoms; venipuncture techniques; department and hospital safety practices and principles; patient rights; age specific patient care practices; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.
Skill in:
  • Utilizing computers and specialized application software for scanning and diagnostic evaluation; utilizing specialized equipment and techniques for diagnostic evaluation; applying aseptic techniques; positioning patients properly to maximize results; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Mobility to work in a typical clinical setting and use standard equipment, stamina to remain standing and/or walk for extended periods of time, vision to read printed materials and VDT screens, hearing and speech to communicate effectively in-person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Education/Experience:
  • Successful completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Previous 3 (three) years experience in performing CT exams in a Trauma setting
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
  • State of Nevada License in Radiology.
  • Valid American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Registered in Radiography; National Certification in specialty area such as Computed Tomography or Angiography. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
