  • Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients internal organs and tissues.
  • Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
  • Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
  • Interpreting physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and positioning the patient to capture the appropriate images.
  • Preparing patients for CT scans, which may include explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring that patients are comfortable.
  • Shift would be 3x13 , Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6p-7a.Principal Accountabilities:1. Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.2. Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).3. Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.4. Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.5. Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
7. Call and holiday rotation is required.QualificationsRequired:1. Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).2. Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.3. Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.4. State licensed to inject IV contrast (must obtain within 6 months of hire)Preferred:1.
