Job Summary and Qualifications

CT Supervisor

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently accepting applications for a CT Supervisor. As a Supervisor, you will supervise and perform duties directly involved with the technical procedures and ensure the smooth operation of the department. You must be able to work in a technical capacity, able to assume all duties encountered by a staff technologist. We prioritize patient care.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a CT Supervisor may include but will not be limited to:

  • Assume responsibility for patient flow and all other patient care issues while ensuring both employee and patient safety
  • Collaborate and coordinate the patients care including discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the health care team
  • Assist with the orientation, coaching and education of staff within Diagnostic Imaging
  • Appropriately allocate staff who are qualified and competent based on approved staffing patterns, staff capabilities, patient populations and technology
  • Assist in evaluation of staff
  • Mediate personnel issues in department
  • Establish and maintain an ethical working relationship and good rapport with physicians, hospital staff and vendors
  • Participate in on-call schedule as assigned

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers; Trained in a hospital program
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Three (3) to five (5) years technical experience required; Two (2) years as a Supervisor preferred, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
  • Current ARRT certification (multiple modalities preferred)
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Management/planning skills
  • Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds

We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons.
