All whileunderstanding that **together** we are even better.**Schedule:** PRN**Shift** : As needed**The community you'll be caring for:** AdventHealth Riverview· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-newhospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time ofopening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.· This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot,four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community membersconvenient access to expert care.· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services whichincludes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women'scare.**The role you'll contribute:**Under general supervision, primary duties include imaging both neuro and bodyscans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age specificguidelines of Facility parameters, transmitting images for diagnosticinterpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with theprogress of these exams. The CT Technologist II actively participates inoutstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintainingrelationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing theprinciples of AdventHealth. The tech II position accepts additional duties inthe department, such as keeping, counting and recording of statistics,tracking and ordering supplies, performing complicated 3D and CTA workstationstudies, overseeing smooth operations of campus locations, performing the moredifficult exams, teaching studentsnew technologists and other tasks asassigned by the department manager**The value you'll bring to the team:**· Performs all exams, including the most difficult, using Facility CTprotocols. Uses Facility policy for proper identification of patient prior toperforming exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patientsfor any contrast allergies (Exam Supervision and Administration)· Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps workflow moving, minimizesempty table time. Follows through after completing exam with communication,transportation and discharge of OPs (Personal Productivity andAccountability)· Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates all equipment safelyand properly including scanners, injectors and monitors. Demonstrates theknowledge and skills to perform scans on patients on all ages, adaptingprotocols as necessary (Clinical Competence)· Properly screens patients of childbearing age, and operates all imagingequipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure to patients,families, and co-workers. Practices infection control standards, and utilizesapproved PPE and disinfectant agents. Maintains properly stocked, organizedand clean room.Qualifications**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:**· Associates degree or Technical degree in a related field· One year CT experience· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification· Completion of Radiologic Technology training and A.R.R.T.(R) registration· General Radiographer state license as required by state if applicable· ARRT - CTThis facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal,state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
