(R) (CT)Preferred Education:Bachelors in Radiologic ScienceRequired Skills:1. Excellent organizational, interpersonal relationship, decision making and patient care skills.2. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, and radiation protection and safety.3. Knowledge of radiographic physics.4. Knowledge of medical terminology and cross sectional anatomy.5. Ability to determine exposure factors to achieve optimum radiographic images with a minimum exposure to patients.6. Ability to examine images for the purpose of evaluation of techniques, positions, and other related qualities.7. Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired or optimum image of desired anatomy.8. Skill in safe and efficient operation of CT equipment and quality control.9. Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new and better techniques to keep the department up to date.10. Veni-puncture and comprehensive knowledge of proper use of contrast and injection of such contrast for patient exams.11. Ability to determine proper protocols to achieve optimum diagnostic images with high degree of efficiency.12. Maintains ability to learn and perform interventional procedures as required in CT environment.Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:R.T. (R) (CT) ARRT, M.R.T. Texas Medical Board, CPRPreferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:Multiple modality registries from ARRTRequired Experience:Minimum 6 months experience in CTPreferred Experience:Greater than 1 year experience in CTIND123
