Join us at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital and embark on a rewarding career where you can make a difference every day.Opportunities Include:Part Time openings (24 hours per week):Every Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am to 9pmEvery Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am to 7pmFull Time opening (36 hours per week):Wednesdays, 11am to 11:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays, 10am to 10:30pmCasual openings:Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), 2:30pm to 11pmPRN/As needed on day and evening shiftsThe CT Tech reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.Responsibilities:Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.Administers contrast media oral and/or IV contrast in accordance with department policies and procedures, patient history indicators, exam protocols and physician orders and follows through with post exam instructions.Enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time and other technical data into computer.Communicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety, comfort.Views images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.Performs CT equipment QA and maintains required logs.Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.#INDN#LI-CC1AA/EEOQualificationsRequired:ARRTIEMA Division of Nuclear SafetyBLS through American Heart Association2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalentPreferred:ARRT registry in CT or MRIEqual OpportunityNorthwestern Medicine is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation or any other protected status.
