747616- CT Technologist - Rochester, NY - 13 Weeks Contract Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for a CT Technologist to work at our client's facility in Rochester, NY.Shift : Friday - Sunday 7pm - 7:30am, holidays, on call and callback per unit needs.CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities: :
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure tohelp them feel comfortable.
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
- Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
- Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- NYS licensure (mustobtain PRIOR to starting position)
- Level 1 Trauma Experience
- 2 years of CT experience
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
Preferred:
- Injectioncertification preferred-must be willing to complete during orientation process.
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
