Position is contingent on allocation of grant funds.
The role of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Recruiter and Program Ambassador is to assist Program Coordinators and COA by: assisting with outreach, recruitment, and program representation at public, COA, and partner events. The goal of the position is to help COA recruit and provide outreach to diverse and underrepresented populations specific to the CTE programming including: Aviation, Machining, Welding Information Technology, AG Business, Culinary, HVAC, and Health Sciences programs.
The CTE Recruiter and Program Ambassador is supervised by appropriate Program Coordinator, Department Chair, or Dean, and the VP of Learning.
* Attend training provided by COA to become familiar with program options, basic degree information, and basic admission steps;
* Attend and represent COA at select recruitment events (day, night, and weekends);
* Promote Career and Technical Education pathways and programs;
* Assist Student Success and Enrollment Management (SSEM) in the collection of student lead information using designated tools such as Element 451;
* Help set up, work, and breakdown COA and Program tables at recruitment evenets;
* Represent COA and Programs in a professional manner;
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Current or former student of a selected COA CTE program.
* If a current student, must be in good standing and have the recommendation of the Program Coordinator, Department Chair, or Dean.
* If a former student, must have successfully completed a CTE certificate, diploma, or AAS degree at COA and have the recommendation of the Program Coordinator, Department Chair, or Dean.
