With a competitive hourly wage of $22 to $25, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to shape the path of our next generation of culinary visionaries.Responsibilities•Develop and implement a comprehensive culinary arts curriculum focused on fundamental cooking techniques, nutrition, kitchen safety, and food preparation.•Deliver engaging and interactive instruction tailored to youth with varying skill levels, ensuring each student receives appropriate support and challenges.•Lead hands-on culinary projects, guiding students in recipe development, meal planning, and cooking to nurture creativity and technique.•Assess student progress, offer constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement to support their learning journey effectively.•Educate students on kitchen organization, cleanliness, and safety protocols to maintain a professional and hygienic cooking environment.•Collaborate with instructors, staff, and community partners to achieve program goals and enhance the overall educational experience.•Provide mentorship and be a positive role model for students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.•Engage in community outreach and events to promote the program and establish relationships with local organizations and stakeholders.•Pursue continuous professional development opportunities in the field of culinary arts education to enhance expertise and skills.Qualifications•Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Education, or a related field is required, with a preference for certification from an accredited culinary school.•The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching culinary arts to youth, with a preference for experience in a school or community-based setting.•Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, along with a strong understanding of nutrition, kitchen safety, and food hygiene, is essential.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to effectively connect with and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.•Demonstrated creativity and innovation in teaching methods and recipe development is a key qualification.•The ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues is necessary for this role.•A genuine passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to empowering youth through creative expression is a must-have qualification.
