Position Overview:The Cultivation Manager is responsible for training and managing the cultivation team on all the tasks in the grow in accordance with local and state laws, regulations, and standards set by the Company and works closely and collaboratively with facilities leadership and reports to the Facility Manager.Pay Rate: $60,000 - $65,000Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Hire, train and manage the cultivation team on all grow tasks including: tissue culture, cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, super cropping, topping, flushing, foliar and preventative sprays
- Develop and execute on plant scheduling to ensure a steady state production can be maintained by the facility and project all milestones of the production environment
- Conduct diagnostic reviews of all cultivation facilities to identify and eliminate issues with, contaminants including but not limited to, mold, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, and fungus gnats
- Work with the facility manager to develop an integrated pest management plan and calendar for each facility
- Research techniques to expand knowledge of individual strains, high-yield recipes, controlled stress environments, different lighting systems and set ups and the development of techniques focussed on increasing and maintaining quality while reducing costs. An interest in trying new techniques and engaging in controlled experimentation with new propagation/germination techniques, soil and media blends, and forms of automation is encouraged
- Attention to detail and maintenance of all relevant plant tracking paperwork
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Assist state and local government officials and law enforcement with inventory, sales and compliance audits.
Minimum Qualifications:Thorough understanding of state and local medical and medical marijuana laws and how they apply to the operations in each of the respective facilities. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Effective time management and ability to multi-task. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment. Must have extensive knowledge of soil growing methods including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria and nutrient implementation. Expert knowledge of plant diseases, insects, fungi and proper treatments for each. Working knowledge in container systems with soil as well as understanding temperature and humidity manipulation. Must have comprehensive knowledge of strains and a mastery of medicinal implementation and administration. May not have a violent felony conviction or drug related offense.Background Check:As a condition of employment, all cultivation center employees are required to submit to a background check.
