The Office:

The USC Office of Culture, Ethics and Compliance is seeking a full-time Culture Program Director for the USC Culture Journey, which is a university-wide initiative to align our institutional systems and processes and individual behaviors with our six unifying values (Integrity, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Open Communication, and Well-being). This individual will work closely with stakeholders across the university to align, develop, and coordinate programs, initiatives, and resources related to cultural transformation to meet the needs of the university community.

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Organizational Change Ethics and Culture, the Culture Program Director will primarily focus on the following responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administrative planning and execution of complex university-wide culture-related projects as part of the Culture Journey, USC's ongoing culture transformation effort.
  • Administrate regular stakeholder meetings for culture advisory bodies, including scheduling, content development, and communicating key decisions.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director of Organizational Change and advisory body co-chairs to collaboratively develop content and strategic priorities for regular meetings.
  • Assist with administration of team planning meetings and project coordination.
  • Identify and connect key culture stakeholders within the university to align their resources, initiatives, and programs with culture-related goals.
  • Serve as key communicator of culture-related information to culture stakeholders and the broader university audience.
  • Assist with oversight of culture transformation assessment, including regular reporting of culture transformation milestones for key stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in organizational effectiveness, organizational behavior, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective stakeholder management at various levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective program and/or project management in a higher education context, including project assessment, data analysis, and use of program data for reporting key milestones.
  • Demonstrated experience of organizational culture change and organizational change management work.
  • Capability to work with diverse on and off-campus partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to engage in and complete numerous projects concurrently.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated competence to work well in a team-oriented academic environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including public speaking experience.
  • Ability to represent the Office of Culture, Ethics & Compliance in various settings and committees.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written, oral) skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as an individual contributor and member of multiple internal and external teams and organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, work independently, and meet strict deadlines.

The annual base salary range for this position is $124,749.96 - $154,000.00.
