- Determines quantities of food items necessary for the meals.
- Ability to identify high quality food through tasting, attractively and creatively portioning and garnishing food; including pureed and special diet food.
- Stores and stocks food supplies in designated areas.
- Washes and stores dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Maintains department cleanliness by accomplishing daily cleaning assignments.
- Prepares food such as salads, beverages, sandwiches, and pureed food.
- Assembles patient trays.
- Pushes loaded food carts to each patient area.
- Delivers patient trays to the patients.
- Has strong customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and with little or no daily supervision.
- Ability to use kitchen equipment (sharps, meat slicer).
- Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
- Complies with System policies and procedures.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
