Job SummaryThe Curriculum Director at The Learning Experience influence the growth and development of both children and teachers. They create an environment of collaboration and community, encouraging everyone to thrive. The position involves overseeing and managing the educational programs and initiatives within the school. The role requires a strong background in early childhood education, curriculum implementation, and training development.Responsibilities
  • Staff training/ New Hire Training
  • Curriculum and Assessment management in online system
  • Oversee Curriculum Implementation
  • Clear expectations of what daily and weekly schedules should look like in each classroom.
  • LEAP Interactive online program and Workbooks- How to use the program daily.
  • Constant contact with teachers and vigilance while in classrooms
  • Make sure rooms have all components of the curriculum evident in the classroom
  • Ensure that Phonics/ Spanish/ Sign Language of the month displayed
  • Ensure Monthly theme is clearly visible.
  • Supply ordering for curriculum needs
  • FFE Classroom Toys and Furniture- Yearly Tracking and updates
  • Conduct 22 classroom observations per month, 2 per classroom.
  • Sending out classroom reminders to all staff about curriculum and assessments.
  • Supporting Teachers with Student Behaviors and classroom management
  • Hands on and in classroom support and training for staff
  • Manage the floor with teachers, organizing and facilitating breaks and lunches
Qualifications
  • Two or more years of center leadership/management experience highly preferred. At least one year of leadership experience required.
  • Must have professional teaching experience with infants to preschool children.
  • Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
  • Must meet state specific guidelines
  • Ability to educate, train, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Experience in instructional design and curriculum development for classroom and online environments
