Custodial Lead Worker (Overnight)

The Custodial Lead Worker provides a clean, safe, healthy environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Lead Worker position will assist supervisors with the coordination, assignment, and inspection of work activities performed by custodial and building support workers.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):* Clean, dust, and wipe fixtures, furniture, floors, surfaces, walls, and windows. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Strip, clean, buff, and apply floor cleaners, sealers, and finishes to hard surface floors. Vacuum, spot clean, and extract carpets.* As assigned, oversee and inspect the work of a group of custodial workers and/or building support workers. Ensure tasks are performed and completed according to established schedules.* Assist supervisor with ongoing equipment, chemical, and process training of custodial workers and building support workers.* Respond to tenant needs and requests. Report building damage or the need for building repairs. Report and respond to emergency calls for custodial assistance.* Work outside to remove snow, ice, and debris from entrances, steps, and sidewalks using various tools and products. Clean exterior windows as directed.
