Role and Responsibilities:

We're looking for a Custodial Operator to oversee our dedicated janitorial team, which includes adults with disabilities or disabling conditions. If you're a dynamic leader with a passion for empowering others and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment - Apply Now!

  • Manage and support a diverse custodial team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, officials, and the public through exceptional service.
  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure all maintenance and cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Provide training on proper equipment and chemical use and ensure team members are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Handle the opening and closing of facilities, including security responsibilities like locking and unlocking as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of work completed and manage attendance and payroll to ensure smooth operations.
  • Design workflow charts, set short- and long-term goals, and monitor the progress of projects.
  • Regularly inspect work in progress and completed tasks, report on building maintenance needs, and oversee necessary repairs.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies, and prepare requisitions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of (2) years' supervisory experience
  • Minimum of (1) year custodial/janitorial experience (Preferred)
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities or disabling conditions (Preferred)
  • Valid driver's license

Required Skills:

  • Ability to organize and establish work processes.
  • Knowledge of how to operate in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of how to effectively schedule workers.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficient technological and computer software skills.
  • Ability to organize and establish work processes.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Primary work will be indoors, including offices, restrooms, and other facilities. Some exposure to varying temperatures, lighting conditions, and potential noise levels.
  • Regular use of cleaning agents and chemicals, requiring adherence to safety protocols and proper ventilation.
  • Potential exposure to wet floors, cleaning chemicals, and other safety hazards that necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work may involve different types of facilities, including offices, restrooms, and public areas, each with its own cleaning requirements.
