SDSU is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as Custodial Services Supervisor II for our Facility and Services department.Job Responsibilities:This position involves overseeing and directing custodial services staff, including approving leave, managing attendance, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include supervising the Custodial Services Supervisor I's, coordinating training for new and current staff, and ensuring equipment is in working order. The role also involves maintaining custodial closets, ordering supplies, and reporting building repairs. Additionally, the position handles employee relations, including interviewing, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and addressing personnel issues. The position manages equipment inventory, tracks maintenance, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of:
  • Computer software and systems (i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, AIM)
  • Database management and report generation
  • Custodial services and equipment
  • Customer service
  • Supervision techniques
Skill & Ability to:
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Motivate and lead a team.
  • Organize custodial services for events.
  • Coordinate work schedules for multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of management experience
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • 1 year of computer software experience
Required License: Valid driver's license is required.Comments: The hours of this position are Monday - Friday 3PM - 11:30PM. Occasional on-call hours required.
