- Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized.
- Ensure that shopping carts and baskets are returned to corrals.
- Work as part of team and establish priorities to maintain clean and safe parking spaces.
- Patrol parking areas in order to prevent vehicle damage and vehicle or property thefts.
- Help customers locate their cars.
- Greet customers as they travel through the parking lot into the store.
- When requested, assist customers with bagging groceries and bringing groceries to their car.
CLEANING
- Remove trash from parking lots, walk ways, patios, entrance ways and fence lines.
- Maintain safety of all walk ways to include sweeping, shoveling, and salting as needed
- Complete routine cleaning lists daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
- Keep landscaped areas clean and orderly.
- Clean glass doors and windows.
- Ensure carts and baskets are cleaned according to department schedule and as needed.
- Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum floors.
- Respond to spills, broken glass, and other messes as quickly as possible.
- Ensure bathrooms are sanitary and trash is removed promptly.
- Work as part of team and establish priorities to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Dispose of damaged or spoiled goods appropriately (compost whenever possible).
DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE
- Help maintain carts through simple repairs and upkeep.
- Ensure maintenance of department equipment and notify manager if equipment breaks.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Assist customers with product questions in a prompt, and courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary.
- Work as part of a team to develop a hospitable department space that feels welcoming to all.
- Open doors and greet customers.
- Be proficient at express register lanes and any register-specific customer service duties.
- Work cooperative with diverse staff, customer, and owner base. Allow co-op principles to guide your actions at work
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow GreenStar's safety rules as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Assist other employees in safety needs.
- Report unsafe equipment and conditions.
- Participate in safety training programs.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
STOREWIDE AND OTHER DUTIES
- Attend Human Resources trainings, all-staff meetings, department meetings, and OBM Huddles to stay informed.
- Support on-the-job training of new staff.
- Read GreenStar publications to stay informed.
- Respect and comply with storewide personnel policies.
- Adhere to scheduled shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Description $17.63 per hour!
