DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Custodial Worker 1, you will be involved in routine manual work in public institutional buildings and surrounding grounds. These duties involve the use of custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment and may involve the moving and lifting of heavy furniture. You will perform general cleaning duties such as mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, dusting, sweeping, and buffing of walls, baseboards, floors, handrails, elevators, mirrors, interior windows, windowsills, ash trays, air vents, Venetian blinds, curtains, light fixtures, file cabinets, wardrobes, nightstands, water fountains, bathroom fixtures, doors, wheelchairs, Geri chairs, and tray chairs. This work is performed in accordance with a well-established routine and is subject to inspection to meet standards of cleanliness Interested in learning more?
