SCCC REFERENCE #: 24-52DATE: October 2, 2024TITLE: Custodial Worker ICAMPUS: Eastern Campus in RiverheadSTART DATE: ASAPTYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full TimeRANK: Civil ServicePOSITION DESCRIPTION:The shift will be from 2:30pm to 11:00pm Tuesday through Friday, Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm & Sunday and Monday Off.DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASSUnder direct supervision, an employee in this class performs moderately heavy manual work cleaning municipal buildings. The incumbent is responsible for a variety of housekeeping tasks and occasional minor maintenance during an assigned shift. Some assignments may require skills which are readily learned on the job. Work is performed under direct supervision of a Custodial Worker II or other superior, but many tasks assigned may be routine and repetitive, and once learned can be carried on without difficulty and with less direct supervision.
