Flexible schedule once training is completed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state issued license.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and provide verification.
- Able to pass Background Checks through the state of Idaho.
- Within two months of hire date, completion of all required trainings and in service trainings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in custodial work
- Experience in institutional housekeeping and custodial work preferred
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job
- Ability to work cooperatively with agency personnel in the treatment units and to respect resident rights.
- Reading comprehension and effective writing skills.
- Service orientated
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (for illustrative purposes) 1. Must be able to move furniture, including beds and refrigerators, washers and dryers, for the purpose of cleaning behind and under them. Beds in each bedroom are moved up to three times per week. 2. Must be able to operate a commercial vacuum cleaner throughout the area being cleaned at least once a day. Must have range of motion to mop floors and sweep walkways. Must be able to perform repeated motions such as those required to paint walls. 3. Must be able to scrub walls, windows, bathroom fixtures and other surfaces. Must be able to spend extended periods, up to two hours daily, on knees during the course of cleaning. Must be able to bend and reach during the course of cleaning. 4. Must be able to lift from the floor and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and lift and carry cleaning supplies and vacuum cleaner up and down stairs. Must be able to lift and carry bags of refuse to the dumpsters. 5. Must be able to safely handle chemicals required to clean and sanitize the residential units. Must be able to work in and around fumes from chemicals and fresh paint. 6. Must be able to follow training provided by the agency to help prevent the spread of diseases, including cleaning up and disposing of bodily fluids. Must be able to comprehend agency policies and procedures as they relate to maintenance, cleaning, safety, and confidentiality. WORK CONTEXT
