JOB GOAL: Maintain an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff and public; provide equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; minimize property damage, loss and liability exposure; and ensure that assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent Obtain and maintain first aid and CPR cards Minimum two (2) years' experience (preferred) Must pass a valid Washington State background check and FBI fingerprint review Knowledge and Abilities Good working knowledge of maintaining facilities in clean, neat and orderly condition Good working knowledge of powered equipment such as shampooers, buffers, scrubbers Good working knowledge in the safe and proper use of cleaning products and dilution ratios Good working knowledge in universal precautions Good working knowledge of Safety Data Sheets Work with the knowledge that errors may have serious consequences for staff and students and therefore accuracy is expected in the performance of duties Knowledge that prolonged sitting is not a requirement Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Grand Coulee Dam School District Ability to perform all tasks following all state, local and federal regulations Ability to work in all environmental conditions inside and outside the buildings Ability to use proper body mechanics and must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds Ability to bend over frequently Ability to walk up stairs and for prolonged periods of time Ability to climb and use step ladders in a safe manner Ability to communicate, hear, speak, read, and write English DESIRABLE TRAITS AND ATTITUDES:

Report To: Custodial Supervisor PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform tasks necessary for maintaining facilities in a sanitary, neat, and orderly condition and of staff and student needs
- Tasks to include: sweeping, vacuuming, stripping & waxing, shampooing, dusting, shower and restroom cleaning, window cleaning, trash and garbage pickup both inside and out
- Maintain all floor coverings in your assigned area clear of dirt, stains, debris
- Each shift, empty all trash and garbage containers in your assigned area
- Dust all furniture including desks and chairs in your assigned area
- Clean white boards as required
- Shampoo/wax floors as required and assigned
- Clean and sanitize urinals, toilets, showers, floors, walls in your assigned area
- Clean windows as required
- Change burnt out lights as required
- Prepare rooms and areas for meetings/events
- Lock/unlock buildings as required
- Clear walks/landings as required
- Refill all associated dispensers as required
- Raise/lower flag
HOURS OF WORK: 180 days/ 8 hours PAY: Based on the current PSE Salary Schedule. SEBB Eligible, Holidays, Sick and personal days per PSE contract
