**Description**

**Job Summary:**

Provides general cleaning of assigned facilities in accordance with Agency and/or contract specifications.

* Maintains equipment/supplies.

* Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas such as restrooms, offices, floors and hallways; using proper cleaning agents, standard custodial practices and operating high and low speed scrubbers and carpet extractors.

* Fills soap dispensers, refills paper towel racks and distributes toilet paper and other supplies as necessary.

* Communicates with supervisor regularly.

**Work location: Department of Motor Vehicles, Portland ME**

**Work Schedule: 3 hours per day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday**

**Minimum Requirements:**

* Ability to engage in physical activity including standing, walking, descending stairs

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

* Reliable transportation to worksite

* Criminal background check that meets Agency standards

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience working in a custodial role
