Wilkes University invites applicants for an Evening shift Custodian (Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm 12:30 am) in the Campus Support Services department to begin immediately. Position offers competitive starting hourly rate and generous benefits package, including employee and dependent tuition remission. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and is responsible for daily cleaning of restrooms, classrooms, hallways and office areas in campus facilities including residence halls, athletic areas, administrative and academic buildings. The Custodian will provide cleaning and sanitation services in addition to the use of light floor machines and attachments (e.g. vacuums, floor buffers, carpet extractors, etc.), perform general maintenance work (e.g. replace light bulbs, plunge toilets, etc.), assist with event set-ups and seasonal grounds maintenance as well as removal and transportation of garbage and recyclables from throughout campus.
