Summary

Provides support in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness will contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash in all areas of the facility, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Sanitization: Clean and disinfect surfaces, restrooms, and other high-touch areas to maintain a hygienic environment, especially in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Floor Care: Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Perform regular deep cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning, waxing, and polishing floors.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper), and functioning properly.
  • Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials. Maintain the organization and cleanliness of waste disposal areas.
  • Window and Glass Cleaning: Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors to keep them free of smudges and streaks.
  • Supply Inventory: Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory. Notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Security: Ensure all windows, doors, and entrances are properly secured at the end of the shift. Report any suspicious activities or safety hazards.
  • Time Management: Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required.

Equipment

Basic knowledge of floor cleaning equipment

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Texas Driver's License. Driving record must be acceptable to the FCC automobile liability insurance provider.
