Summary: The custodian will uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation of the college campus. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will play a crucial role in creating a clean and welcoming environment for our employees, students, and visitors. Monday - Friday Evenings. Essential Responsibilities: •Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned buildings. •Maintains a neat and orderly supply closet; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked. •Performs general cleaning and sanitizing in bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, classrooms, offices, living spaces and common areas. •Performs restorative work to floors such as vacuuming, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing. •Picks up and empties trash containers. •Report any safety or maintenance deficiencies to the lead custodian or facilities manager. •Performs other related duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: •Prolonged periods standing.•Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.•Ability to operate tools or equipment used in routine cleaning.•Some evening and weekend hours may be required.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications : •High school diploma or equivalent required.
