The University of Iowa Healthcare department of Environmental Services is seeking a Custodian to provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff of The University of Iowa Health Care. Starting salary, $16.97/hour. The University of Iowa offers a generous benefits package, which may be viewed at Duties and Responsibilities:General cleaningTrash removalStock supplies for cart and custodial areaClean and disinfect restrooms/ refill restroom suppliesDusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floorsCarpet cleaningUnit/bed makingWall & ceiling washingFurniture moves and room setupsUse various types of custodial equipment in performance of dutiesOther tasks and duties as assignedThis position is performed fully on campus.About Environmental Services:We as a department are responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of over 2.8 million square feet of the hospital.
