Position is for a second shift opening. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Utilizes knowledge and experience of custodial procedures in a commercial setting to perform a full spectrum of custodial activities throughout the County facilities; reinforces knowledge of occupational hazards and safety requirements by operating necessary tools and equipment in a safe manner ensures all meeting and furniture setup requests are completed.
  • Performs general cleaning in office areas; accurately uses cleaning agents with the ability to read and follow written instructions and observe warnings on labels.
  • Applies knowledge of facilities maintenance to perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, furnishings, and other equipment within County facilities.
  • Uses demonstrated experience and versatility in carpentry and painting to maintain and repair architectural features, finishes, and furnishings.
  • Employs knowledge of maintaining lawns, fields, and ground to perform grounds maintenance duties; proficiently operates groundskeeping equipment and tools; participates in snow removal.
  • Maintains security by ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas; secures building after normal business hours; accommodates required entry for after hour events.
  • Applies basic knowledge of commercial fire alarm systems to monitor and operate basic fire panel functions.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL EXEPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six (6) months of custodial experience.
    • Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
    • Must have valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
