Maxar is seeking a Custodian to provide cleaning services for our office located in Ypsilanti, MI. This is a position that will interact with all employees and work closely with other custodial team members.
**Responsibilities:**
* Vacuum, dust and wet mop floors, stairs and stair risers.
* Empty and sanitize receptacles following all safety guidelines for handling of waste.
* Clean mirrors, interior glass, and entrance way glass.
* Clean and restock restrooms.
* Clean showers in fitness center.
* Dust stairway hand rails.
* Move and arrange furnishings within rooms for cleaning purposes.
* Fill soap dispensers.
* Move cleaning equipment and supplies between floors.
* Report items in need of repair to facilities maintenance tech and/or manager.
* Clean elevators and tracks including polishing the stainless
* High dust vertical and horizontal surfaces.
* Maintain an inventory of supplies according to instructions.
* Perform all duties in a safe and conscientious manner.
* Report all work related accidents or illnesses immediately.
* Interact in a responsible manner with Supervisors, co-workers and clients.
* Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
**Minimum Requirements:**
* Must be a U.S. citizen
* Requires at least a GED or High School diploma.
* Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
**Preferred Requirements:**
* Must be able to work in a team environment, effectively communicating with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and facility managers.
* Must be able to follow instructions.
