JOB TITLE: CUSTODIAN LOCATION: TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY DAYS: MONDAY - FRIDAY (SOME WEEKENDS) ALL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST APPLY THROUGH: Job Summary: The Custodian will have the primary responsibility for cleaning retail locations. It is the role of the Custodian who will be required to follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and should have the necessary skills and abilities to perform defined service tasks. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Follows and completes a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning schedule. These duties include:Collect all garbage and recyclables from the assigned locations and place them in the correct disposal dumpsterDisinfects and cleans garbage cans and changes liners dailyCleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures daily with a germicidal solutionWet mops all washable floors as specified in the schedule, including restrooms, stairwells, elevators, office areas, and storage areasCleans glass and windows (inside and outside) when requiredCleans office areas and building entrances and walls using a designated cleaning solution as scheduled or needed```{=html}``` - Vacuum all carpeted areas as specified in the schedule - Sweeps and clears entrance areas - Dust-mops corridors - Dust, clean, and sanitize other surfaces as specified in the schedule - Performs other cleaning duties as specified in the schedule - Refills paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap in all dispensers - Fills out and maintains housekeeping log according to schedule - Participates in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested - Attends and participates in worksite safety and in-service training - Performs other duties as assignedReports the following to the Supervisor or designated staff person:Need for cleaning supplies or equipment repair in advanceWater leaks and other maintenance needsAll other health and safety hazards noticedDesired Experience/Education:Experience in the custodial fieldKnowledge of proper cleaning methodsAdditional Requirements:Must be able to comply and pass a background check as required by the contractMust be able to move through the worksite physicallyMust be able to lift 40 lbs.Must be able to stand for long periods as well as stoop, squat, lift, carry, and pushWearing protective equipment, such as latex gloves, per OSHA regulations is required.Ability to work independentlyMust be able to follow written and verbal instructionsMust pass a pre-employment drug test.Creative Management Technology, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
