AbilityOne service contracts offer a stable workforce dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pmorSchedule: Mon-Fri 7:00am-11:00am($22.68) - $18.11 plus $4.57 Health and WelfareJob SummaryPerforms custodial maintenance duties, including dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, and cleaning and restocking restrooms.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.Performs routine maintenance of custodial equipment and supplies.Empties trash receptacles and dispose of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters and bags trash for proper disposal.Unlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.Reports needs and concerns to Project Manager, including checking supply levels.Ensures proper care in using and maintaining equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.Assists in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures.Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Minimum Job RequirementsLess than high school; no previous experience required.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredAbility to understand verbal instructions.Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.Ability to read, understands, follow, and enforce safety procedures.Ability to understand written and verbal communications.Distinguishing CharacteristicsThe position requires a) regular and routine dusting, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning restrooms; b) routine maintenance of custodial equipment; and c) power equipment to buff and restore floors and shampoo carpets.Conditions of EmploymentMust meet program eligibility requirementsMust pass a pre-employment criminal background check.Must pass a government background to acquire naval access badge.Working Conditions and Physical EffortConsiderable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required.
