Custodian - $16 per hour Downers Grove Park District Part-Time - Saturday and/or Sunday (additional weekday day hours available) Hours - 7:00 - 12:00 am (weekday times are flexible) Pay Rate - $16 per hour About us: The Downers Grove Park District enriches our community through natural area preservation and exceptional recreation, parks, and facilities that inspire memorable experiences. Opportunity: The Downers Grove Park District is looking for part-time custodians at our Recreation Center and Lincoln Center. Position hours are for Saturday and/or Sunday in four- or five-hour shifts for one of both days. There may be additional work hours available weekday mornings. This position includes a free Fitness membership. A day in the Life:
  • Cleaning halls, gyms, bathrooms, offices, and other rooms at Downers Grove Park District facilities including scouring sinks, polishing mirrors, dusting furniture, and mopping floors
  • Vacuuming, mopping
  • Emptying trash
  • Performing set ups which may include moving furniture, chairs, tables, and other large items
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
About you:
  • CPR/AED certification is required and paid for by the Park District
  • High-school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrates good attendance, effective communication, and attention to detail
