- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures.
- Dusts, cleans and polishes furniture, doors, windows, partitions, woodwork, light fixtures and other related surfaces.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, waxes, polishes floors, and shampoos carpets.
- Disposes of trash and recyclable materials.
- Operates power cleaning equipment such as buffer, sweeper, and steam cleaning equipment.
- Assists in monitoring supplies and stocking locations.
- Performs some limited routine maintenance to equipment, buildings, and fixtures.
- Maintains good rapport with the public, Airport tenants and other agencies.
- Adheres to the Authority and departmental policies and procedures as well as safe work practices, policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other staff, public officials and general public.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to FAA -TSA security clearance, fingerprinting and pre-employment drug testing.
- Strong work ethic, be able to complete work independently, work at a consistent pace.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures; knowledge of cleaning materials, chemicals, and solvents; knowledge of the care and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be available for evenings, weekends and holidays and flexible in schedule.
- Valid driver's license required and maintained that meet insurance requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally must lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work is typically performed walking, standing, bending or reaching and is physically repetitive.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures, and weather conditions such as snow and ice.
- Tasks may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wetness, dust, noise and chemical odors.
