- Expertly operate production tools safely and accurately, including but not limited to slide saws, hand tools, drills, sanders, nail guns, and routers. Ensure precision and safety in a production environment.
- Accurately read and interpret shop drawings or blueprints, fabricating components to completion with minimal supervision, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications.
- Generate accurate cut lists and construct components according to detailed shop drawings, ensuring consistency and precision.
- Ability to construct cabinets, work with solid wood joinery, and perform laminate work to meet high-quality standards.
- Manage time and tasks efficiently, leveraging problem-solving and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Keep personal and shared workspace(s) clean and organized to promote safety, efficiency, and productivity.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience in a shop environment, with experience in box construction, solid wood joinery, and laminate work.
- Understanding of how to safely operate a variety of tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and routers, ensuring precision.
- Experience reading and executing shop drawings, fabricating components independently and with minimal supervision.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship while meeting tight deadlines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
