Custom Software Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; Albany, NY): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Custom Software Engineering Manager in Albany, NY, and the job duties are as follows:
- Design, develop and test custom software solutions across multiple system components or applications.
- Create implementation or integration approach for applications and components.
- Design and code applications in line with programming standards and interface specifications.
- Architect development strategy for applications and components.
- Coordinate development streams in line with overall program(s) timing and milestones.
- Build deployment plan, including the development plan and schedule, keeping in line with overall project timeline.
- Design, build, assemble, and configure application or technical architecture components using business requirements.
- Team with stakeholders on application and component design to secure buy in.
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.
Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- Coordinating system integration activities through the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle in the Pension Industry, including B2B integrations with banks or other financial institutions systems;
- Gathering requirements, design, configuration, programming, testing, and deployment of Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, Payroll, and Pension;
- Utilizing SQL with SQL Server and Oracle to create formal reports or queries to support requirements gathering, configuration, root cause analysis, and testing;
- Managing architectural and design decisions, including improvements for ongoing system performance issues;
- Project management, including creating work plans for teams and tracking issues and risks; and
- Leading system integrations and production maintenance teams.
Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
Pursuant to the New York Transparency Bill, the offered wage for this role is $146,300.00 per year.
