Customer Care Support Specialist - FieldDIRECT in Houston - Enclave Pkwy **Customer Care Support Specialist - FieldDIRECT**

This is one step in a career path that fields complex inquiries directly from the customer or that are escalated from Tier 1. The career path focuses on providing technical or content support to our customers. This may include repairing application issues, liaising across the organization to resolve information quality and system issues and assisting customers with installations and application functionality. Primarily, work is done from an office.

**Responsibilities**

* Able to handle technical or information queries from internal or external customers

* Able to provide insight on content of data and / or provide technical support to customers

* Able to understand customer applications from a technical or information perspective

* Resolve general and complex customer inquiries through phone or email correspondence and document within a CRM system

* Has technical understanding of oil and gas software applications with emphasis on Production / Allocation

* Ability to answer internal / external technical or information issues and customer requests

* Carries out customer installations

* Assists in training of new hires

* Tests software improvements before release to customers

* Must be articulate, patient, and professional and have strong interpersonal skills

* Able to explain complex workflow analysis with clients in a straight forward and organized manner.

* Creation and delivery of educational content for clients, both in a traditional learning environment and through online platforms

**Education & Experience**

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, or related technical/earth science degree or equivalent experience

* Typically two years experience either in Customer Care or relevant technical support / information-related role

* Prefer candidate have previous experience using IHS Markit PowerTools or FieldDIRECT products

* Strong PC and network troubleshooting skills

* Previous experience with Oil and Gas Field Data Collection systems is preferred

* Attention to detail, with high level of accuracy

* Willingness and potential to learn

* Independent thinker

* Understanding of applications and / or information and how they are used by customers

* Ability to interface effectively with customers

* Highly collaborative
