Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is On-Site at the location detailed in the job post.Job Summary/PurposeReceive external customer requests via telephone, internet or other viable contact channels, and perform necessary transactions within CCS to communicate the requested service to the department responsible for performing the task. Customer requests may include billing or service inquiries, new service turn-on, turn-off or transfer electric, security lighting or program services, meter changes (non-design), any non-pay final, modifications/cancellations to any service order, redirect on an incorrect location, transfer of service to existing location, turn-off/remove meter (non-design), turn-off/remove night light and/or pole, turn-on/install at existing location (non-design required), turn-on/install night light if pole exists and request date changes on orders, initiate/terminate levelized billing, initiate/terminate pick-a-date, initiate/terminate bank draft, outage reporting, mailing address changes, etc.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesCommunicate and cooperate in a professional manner with peers, supervision, external and internal customers to maintain a safe and productive environment.Work safely without injury or accident. Read, understand and comply with Entergy Service Policy and Procedures as they are amended.Prepare record of all customer-requested activities on the account.Interface with other departments and employees to satisfy customers' needs and complaints while maintaining department's productivity goals.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesMinimum RequirementsMinimum education required of the positionHigh School Diploma or equivalent. Desired: Additional secondary education.Minimum experience required of the positionDesired: 1-4 years relevant work experience.Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the positionWork within Entergy's Safety Rules and encourage others to work safely, including travel and office duties. Customer service experience working with both internal and external customers necessary. Good interpersonal skills along with strong written and oral communication skills. Basic knowledge of Personal Computer operations and related software (Microsoft Office). Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to work additional required overtime. Ability to learn and apply Company policies and procedures. Ability to solve problems. Must successfully complete PSI test. Ability to perform independently of direct supervision. Ability to read and interpret Entergy procedures and make decisions accordingly. Self-motivated and dependable team player. Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards. Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets. Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service. Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base. Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and have the ability to enact change. Desired: Knowledgeable in MS Office and computer skills. Customer Information System and/or Agent Information System experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated and dependable team player. A good working knowledge of Entergy Service Policies, organization and practices.
