As a Customer Data Entry Specialist, you will be an essential part of the order-to-cash cycle and responsible for supporting business divisions by creating, managing, and maintaining an accurate record of the global customer database. Your role involves collaborating with various departments, including sales, customer service, logistics, and finance, to ensure a seamless order-to-cash process. You will be critical in maintaining customer satisfaction, business division support, trade, and revenue compliance and contributing to the team's overall success.

Compensation: $21/hr

Availability: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. This role is a contract role set to last 12 months.

Job Duties:

  • Customer Data Management: Help manage the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of customer master records in our database. This includes capturing and updating relevant information such as contact details, billing and shipping addresses, and other pertinent data to ensure information is up to date.
  • Data Validation: Identify and rectify system discrepancies, inconsistencies, or duplications.
  • Process Improvement: Make recommendations to team leadership where there are inefficiencies or opportunities for possible improvements to existing data validation processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and customer service, to gather and validate customer information. Communicate and interact professionally and effectively to resolve data-related issues and provide support when required.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and localization requirements related to customer data and data privacy when applicable.
  • Escalation: Escalate unresolved or complex cases to team leadership for assistance.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Strive to meet or exceed customer satisfaction targets by addressing concerns promptly, demonstrating empathy, and contributing to a positive overall customer experience.
  • Basic Merging: Work to get appropriate approvals to process essential account mergers according to guidelines.
  • System Enhancements: Assist with testing for system enhancement projects and initiatives related to customer master data management.

Qualifications:

  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining data confidentiality
  • A degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is a plus
  • 1-2 years experience in customer data management or a similar role, preferably in a large-scale organization with solid customer service and data entry experience, is preferred
  • 1-2 years experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other data management tools is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify data patterns and trends
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
