Who You Are:
As the Manager, Customer Data you are the business owner of Michael Kors's Consolidated Customer Data Lake and CRM systems. Customer data is a strategic asset leveraged to inform Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, CRM, Digital Marketing, Retail Marketing, and Brand Marketing decisions as well as to identify opportunities to drive growth and efficiencies across the Capri portfolio of brands.
You will be responsible for managing the customer data life cycle – acquisition, ingestion, management, enhancement, quality, privacy, access – for Michael Kors. You will work closely with the Advanced Analytics, CRM, Data Engineering, and IT teams on automation, implementation of advanced analytics algorithms, and supplying customer data feeds to downstream systems.
What You'll Do:
- Manage day-to-day operations and development activities within the customer data.
- Implement and support new technological integrations, upgrades, and ingestion of new customer data sources by building business requirements, overseeing development, and validating data between systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage third-party data vendor(s) for Name and Address standardization as well as data enhancements.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Michael Kors's data capabilities and infrastructure.
- Subject matter expert on Michael Kors customer data, reports on the Customer Database, and maintains the Customer Data Dictionary. Key point of contact for best practices for business partners.
- Works with Data Engineering to implement new business variables and tables as well as advanced analytics algorithms in Michael Kors Analytics and Reporting Environment.
- Executes all Customer Data Privacy requests, including those associated with GDPR, CCPA, Stores, Legal, and Customer Service.
- Manage a team of two Customer Data Analysts, conducting regular check-ins and supporting the long-term career development of team members.
You'll Need to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field
- 3-5+ years in data and analytics role with experience owning projects from inception to delivery
- 3+ years' experience with Customer Data
- 1+ years' experience direct management of 1+ team members
- 1+ years' experience with external vendor management
- Proficiency in SQL and R / Python
- Ability to translate data concepts across and between business-focused and technology-based partners and colleagues
- Excellent project execution capabilities; strong attention to detail; able to define timelines and ensure projects stay on-track.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
